My spiritual movies recommendations:
What the Bleep!? - Down the Rabbit Hole (QUANTUM Three-Disc Special Edition)
This movie almost single handedly launched the spiritual/quantum physics movie genre to a wide range of mainstream audience. It has many interviews with leading scientists and theologians on the nature of the mind and intention and their effect on our bodies and sub-atomic particles in the Universe. I like the "Down the Rabbit Hole" version because it has a lot more of the interviews with the scientists.
Conversations With God
The movie on the popular series based on the books by the same name, brings out the struggle of what Neal Donald Walsh went through before and after he started writing the books. Before watching this movie I used to think that I have to eat everything on my plate of food but I'm not sure about that practice any more. Watch the movie and you'll understand why.
Spiritual Warriors
A new movie about the old concept of the battle between good and evil.
There will be a showing in Beverly Hills, Fine Arts Theatre Including Q&A with Jsu Garcia, cast and producers Wednesday April 16th @ 7.30pm 8556 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90211 Phone: 310-360-0455 Tickets are $5 Students & Seniors, $10 General Admission Tickets only available at the door.
Comments: The Fine Arts Theatre is an historic, recently-renovated theatre. I went to this showing and the film was great. It portrayed the battle between good and evil very well, sprinkled with a few spiritual truths throughout the film. I don't know when they're going to be in town next but if you're on my list, then I will definitely let you know. This film was sponsored by MSIA, The Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness
The Celestine Prophecy
Great movie demonstrating the impact of our thoughts on our vibrations and our lives. I would recommend you watch this with your kids.
Peaceful Warrior (Widescreen)
Based on the popular novel by Dan Millman, this is a great movie showing us the importance of being in the moment and how we can be more alive and aware by practicing being in the moment.

My environmental movie recommendations:
The 11th Hour
Leonardo Di Caprio does an excellent job of portraying some of the environmental challenges that we face today. Two thumbs up for Leo. Don't miss his "Blood Diamond" movie featured lower on this page.
An Inconvenient Truth
Al Gore busts on the scene with his research documentary/animation to do his part in bringing on awareness to the environmental movement.
Who Killed the Electric Car?
This is a great film on GM's first and only production electric car and how the company shut down the program claiming that there was not enough demand for them.
Sacred Planet
Awesome film that takes you to some of the most scenic places on earth and contrasts intermittently with scenes from the city life. I realized that I'm living in a "dead space" (the city) when I could be living in a place surrounded by life.
Documentary on nutrition:
Super Size Me
A must see for parents and fast-food junkies out there. I love the best part at the end with McDonald's fries.
Be sure to watch this movie with you McDonald loving kids and don't forget the extras at the end.
Sicko (Special Edition)
Michael Moore's back again and taking on the broken health system in America, where in the world's richest country, 45 million people have no health insurance, while HMOs grow in size and wealth. Moore also explores the widespread use of antidepressants and their possible link to violent behavior.
Action, drama, and general movies:
Once in a while we do need a good "chick flick" or an "action" movie. The best place I have found for renting movie is Netflix. You don't have to worry about the hassle of returning movie, there are no late fees, you can keep the movies as long as you want, and you make a list online and when you return a movie, they'll automatically send you your next selection out of over 100,000 titles that they have in stock. On top of that shipping is free both ways. Their plans start with $4.99/mo and for that you get to have one movie out at a time with a maximum of 2 movies per month. Compare that with Blockbuster's $4.95 for just one movie. Add to that the going to the store twice, and the danger of late fees and now they even charge you for the whole movie, and you'll see that Netflix is an awesome deal. They also have unlimited plans where you can check out 2, 3, or 4 movies at a time.
In addition, select from a separate, smaller library of over 10,000 movies and TV episodes to watch instantly on your PC at no additional charge.
Entertainment recommendations:
The Matrix
I recommend that you at least watch this first movie in the trilogy. It will give you an idea of what it might be like to live in an illusion but to have it be so real that you think you're living reality...or a real illusion. From a spiritual stand point some claim that we are living in a holographic universe created by our creator, kinda like a "holodeck"
in Star Trek. From a quantum physics persective there are elements in the movie which demonstrate you create the reality with your mind. From a political stand point you could look at it as the government and corporations creating our reality for us through the media. How should you look at it? YOU decide.
I specially liked the scene where the machines have the humans in these tubs of fluid stacked high on the outside of these buildings and feeding the humans through these tubes and harnessing their body's electricity. After you watch Zeitgeist this scene takes on a whole new meaning.
Bowling for Columbine
Michael Moore tackles America's obsession with firearms in this Oscar-winning documentary. Focusing mainly on the Columbine massacre in April 1999, Moore also visits a Michigan bank that gives new customers a free gun, recites statistics for gun deaths in the United States and interviews folks ranging from National Rifle Association spokesman Charlton Heston to shock rocker Marilyn Manson.
Blood Diamond [Blu-ray]
Wanna know how many people died to get that piece of rock to a jewlery store near you or what kind of people and industries you are supporting when you buy a diamond? Neaaaahhh...ignorance is bliss. But if on the other hand you have the craving for a bit of truth, awareness, and consequences, then I would highly suggest this movie. Thrilling. Lots of action. Not for the faint of heart.
Amadeus - Director's Cut (Two-Disc Special Edition)
A master piece of a movie on the life of one of the musical geniuses in our history. This movie is very entertaining and is filled with humor and drama and of course lots of great music. I'm recommending the Director's Cut here for the extra footage.
Top Gun [HD DVD]
A classic and I thin Tom Cruise's best movie ever. The rest of the cast match each other so perfectly that it produces an amazing performance overall. Made me wanna be a Navy Pilot for a long time. Too bad I didn't have 20/20 vision and didn't know about vision training at the time.
Pulp Fiction (Two-Disc Collector's Edition)
Another amazing cast. The switching time line was confusing the first time around but after the "ahaa" moment it became amazing. I lost count on how many times I have watched this movie.
