Auditing is considered processing vs. taking courses which is considered training.
Auditing is Scientology's method of psychological counseling and is done with a special device called the E-meter. This is a precision electronic device and is capable of detecting past areas or subjects in your mind that are a source of stress and anguish for you. Once that source is the detected, the auditor then uses Scientology techniques to resolve that problem so that it is no longer affecting your thoughts and emotions and your life in present time. Without this device it is nearly impossible to find the true source of today's problems, which can stem from incidents several life times ago. This is why tradtional psychology and counseling methods fail. Their actions are like trying to find a needle in a hay stack....in the dark.Auditing and auditor both come from the Latin audir which means to listen. People who are receiving mental and spiritual improvements in Scientology are not referred to as "patients" but instead as preclears meaning someone who has not yet achieved the state of Clear. |
